El grupo de trabajo 3 se centrará en la salud mental y el bienestar general de los agentes de policía en Southold. Investigarán el tema y encuestarán a la policía para comprender todas las perspectivas y qué oportunidades están disponibles para mejorar el bienestar de quienes protegen a la comunidad. También analizarán las capacitaciones actuales y potenciales que los oficiales deben completar, así como la educación continua sobre múltiples temas.

valerie shelby
Valerie Shelby, born and raised in Greenport, Long Island and Suffolk Times “Community Leader” award recipient, has always been involved in the community. She graduated from F.I.T. as a business owner (Val’s Custom Design), has 2 sons, and 2 grandchildren. Valerie served 3 terms on the Greenport School Board, 1 term as a Greenport Trustee, is the Co Chair of the Anti Bias Task Force, and was featured in the book “Working on the Waterfront” by a local author.”

Alison Byers, PsyD
Alison M. Byers, PsyD is a clinical psychologist. She originally trained and worked in Forensics as a trauma specialist. Over 10 years ago Dr. Byers respecialized and has a practice now as an executive coach and consultant.
